A remarkable front-line counsellor with a solid experience

March 16 marked 25 years of service for our frontline worker Jules Clouâtre. He is the second person to reach this venerable seniority in the organization. Well done Jules! To celebrate his commitment to young people, workers and young people played a song by his favorite band, the Rolling Stones, at the Day Center!

Since 1998, Jules has been a constant, benevolent and empathetic presence in the lives of the young people who are welcomed at Dans la rue. Devoted to the cause, for all these years, Jules seems to have a huge impact on each individual who comes to the door of the Day Center. Indeed, by reading the testimonies of former young people, colleagues and acquaintances to the effect of Jules, we can see how he is a remarkable person who has a positive influence on several individuals with different life paths.

Jules : un pilier depuis 25 ans!

“My dear Jules, congratulations for your commitment during all these years and those to come! Your empathy, your ability to listen and your irrevocable support for young people make you an exceptional frontline worker and man.”

His dedication and contribution to young people and to the cause was, among other things, highlighted by the “Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Montréal Centre-Ville”, in 2021, as part of its twentieth general assembly under the theme “20 years – 20 pillars”.

The perpetual impact of young people

“Young people push us to broaden our skills and our interventions,” notes Jules.

It is thanks to our front-line workers, like Jules, that we can welcome and support homeless young people adequately and provide them with all the necessary services. They are the best witnesses of youth homelessness and the first benevolent faces that young people experiencing homelessness see at Dans la rue. These are important encounters that can remain etched in their memory forever. In the case of Jules, we can see that he left a lasting impression on a lot of people!

Thank you again, Jules, for the work you do and the impact you have in the lives of these young people in precarious situations!
