An opportunity for homeless youth to celebrate
A group of about 40 homeless and at-risk youth joined us for Thanksgiving dinner at the Day Centre, which was open exceptionally on a Sunday for the occasion. It was always important for Pops to let youth experience special moments like these, and we are committed to upholding the tradition.
In a Day Centre filled with fall-themed decorations, our guests were treated to a feast, complete with all the traditional fixings. Four kitchen staff members, six volunteers, two coordinators and four counsellors made the celebration possible. Thanks to the efforts of this incredible team, homeless youth were given an opportunity to overcome their isolation and enjoy a moment of togetherness in a warm, welcoming environment.
