Under the summer heat, volunteers from Home Depot St-Henri transformed the courtyard of Dans la rue’s Housing Program into a welcoming and safe space for families.

The Quebec government has announced $94,500 in funding for Dans la rue’s ASPIRE project. This support will make it possible to continue and enhance the support provided to youth in the child welfare system, with the aim of promoting their stability, independence, and transition to adulthood.

As Québec’s July 1 moving day approaches, Dans la rue is shining a light on a less visible reality: housing instability among vulnerable youth. More than just a roof over their heads, stable housing provides a sense of security, supports well-being, education and employment, and helps young people rebuild lasting connections.
