Project Goals
Designed with a co-construction approach, the site emphasizes young people’s experiences and brings together information, advice, and tools to better understand and manage situations involving runaway youth. The main goals of the project include:
- Understanding the experiences of youth in runaway situations,
- Bringing together key actors around their complementary roles,
- Documenting and developing effective intervention practices.
A 2023 Revamp
For the visual redesign and content enhancement of jeunesenfugue.ca, several partners contributed their expertise and resources. This update was coordinated by the Fugues, Sexo, and Toxico (FST) support structure of the Youth Program Directorate at CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, with support from CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’île-de-Montréal, En Marge 12-17, the Montreal Police Service, Dans la rue, and the Missing Children’s Network for the “Parents” section.
This co-creation process, designed to empower youth and families, also benefited from the contributions of the POM Collective at Oxy-Jeunes, whose workshops captured participants’ experiential knowledge and creativity in developing multimedia content.
Co-created Multimedia Content
The new multimedia content, created in collaboration with around twenty young people, includes photos, videos, and an interactive experience, placing young voices at the heart of the project. These elements provide an immersive look into their experiences and aim to strengthen prevention practices.
