Day Centre

États d’encre is a collective poetry collection created by students from Emmett Johns School. Through poems, short stories, and songs, these young voices share their emotions, struggles, and hopes in a deeply human artistic project.

The 2025 Ani-Bon Award was presented by the Association des médecins vétérinaires du Québec to Dans la rue’s veterinary outreach clinic, a joint initiative with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal.

Our virtual tours now make it possible for you to explore the Day Centre and the Bunker as if you were right there on site.

We recently organized a kayaking trip to give the youth we serve the chance to get out of the city, fill up on fresh air and make the most of summer.

A wide range of activities are offered here at Dans la rue for youth experiencing homelessness. From sports and other active endeavours to those of a more artistic or introspective nature, there’s something to inspire everyone. And as our counsellors can attest, the physical and psychological rewards are manifold.

The youth who come to the Day Centre are greeted by a team we refer to as our “front-line services.”

The Family Services Children’s Party was able to take place this year and the magic of Christmas was there as well as the laughter of children.
