MétéoMédia recently produced a report on Dans la rue, an organization known for braving all sorts of weather to make the streets of Montreal a little warmer.

Énergir has expanded its support for Dans la rue and youth in unstable living situations with a generous $10,000 donation, over and above its key partnership with the Van.

On May 4, Dans la rue received a Novae award in the social impact category for the Van, which is powered entirely by renewable natural gas (RNG).

A most touching human experience. When the new Van hit the road in early July, the Development and Communications team at Dans la rue was curious to see how its return to the streets of Montreal would turn out. So I contacted Alexandre Des Groseillers, the coordinator in charge of the Van’s operations and volunteers, and asked him if I could spend an evening on the Van.

RNG is produced by converting food waste into energy through a process known as biomethanation.
