Family Services

Dans la rue’s Family Services was created to help marginalized parents or future parents.

The purpose of the service is to develop parenting skills and to support young people as they learn how to be parents.

Youth who visit Dans la rue’s Day Centre can be referred to Family Services.

The Day Centre is open five days a week, Monday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Resumption of home visits

In response to families’ requests, home visits started back up again this summer, to the great delight of parents, children and Family Services counsellors. The nicer weather meant these visits could took place outside and often as part of a trip to the park.
