During the pandemic, we have observed a number of changes in the profiles of those who turn to us for help. A larger percentage come to us with complex and multiple issues, making their journey to self-sufficiency lengthier and more challenging.
As a result, we have rethought our approach to early intervention, support and a lasting transition to independence, and we have expanded our services and programs by being a driving force in preventing youth homelessness.
A permanent way off the street
Working with our counsellors and youth, we have developed a strategic plan outlining a series of initiatives that take a trauma-sensitive approach to mental health and wellness.
Our employability programs are excellent examples of this support and our focus on finding a permanent way off the street. Find out more about the positive impacts they have had on youth, through two testimonials.
