The Van Featured in Le Devoir

In its special “Society” supplement published this weekend, Le Devoir highlights Dans la rue’s ongoing commitment to vulnerable youth.

Since 1988, the Van has been a gathering place where bonds of trust are forged between young people and volunteers.

The white bus, which has become a true Montreal institution, is now in its sixth incarnation. The first recreational vehicle acquired by Father Emmett Johns, founder of Dans la rue, has evolved over the past 38 years to better address the realities and needs of young people.

In service since 2022, the current Van was designed in partnership with Énergir, a long-standing ally of our mission.
