Do you belong to an association, community group, or club, or is there a social action, volunteering, or recreation committee at your work?
If you’d like to help support Dans la rue, please consider hosting a fundraiser, or organizing a collection of food items or personal care products. You have the chance to change the lives of youth who truly need our support. We currently need these items: toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, back packs, rain ponchos, gloves, tampons, men’s underwear, and men’s shoes & boots (sizes 8-12).
Please contact us before you get started. We have many helpful suggestions that will make your job easier. Remember, to use Dans la rue’s name and /or logo for your event or collection, you must first contact us for authorization.
Help your donation go further by asking your employer if it there is a Matching Gift Program where you work. Each company has its own set of rules regarding an Employer Matching Gift Program and often, recently made donations can also be eligible.
We encourage you to ask your Human Resources or Community Charitable Giving Department to see if your donation to Dans la rue can be matched. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 514.526.5222 or at dons@danslarue.org.
Charitable giving has become an important tool in estate planning. Through a planned gift to Dans la rue, you can help minimize your tax burden while leaving a legacy in support of an essential service to the community. Here are a few of the options you may want to explore:
- Gifts of securities (shares, saving bonds, etc.)
- Gifts of life insurance (donation of policy, death benefit, etc.)
- Bequests
Please contact us at 514.526.5222 or at dons@danslarue.org for more details on planned giving, or ask your financial planner or notary to assist you in choosing the right option.
Dans la rue does everything it can to provide the basics to homeless and at-risk youth, in addition to other services and solutions. Every year, we hand out more than 70,000 cans of food, serve 25,000 hot meals, and give out thousands of pairs of socks and underwear as well as t-shirts, sweaters, boots, shoes, coats, soap, shampoo, and toothbrushes.
Please contact us before you get started. We have many helpful suggestions that will make your job easier and our needs do change throughout the year. Please call us at 514.526.5222 or contact us at dons@danslarue.org.
Dans la rue gratefully accepts material donations directly from companies. Tax receipts are available for new products only. Proper documentation must be provided before we can issue a receipt.
