Day Centre

A wide range of activities are offered here at Dans la rue for youth experiencing homelessness. From sports and other active endeavours to those of a more artistic or introspective nature, there’s something to inspire everyone. And as our counsellors can attest, the physical and psychological rewards are manifold.

The youth who come to the Day Centre are greeted by a team we refer to as our “front-line services.”

The Family Services Children’s Party was able to take place this year and the magic of Christmas was there as well as the laughter of children.

40 young people came to eat a delicious festive meal served by 15 volunteers and three employees at Dans la rue’s Day Centre.

A BENEFICIARY WITH A PASSION FOR GARDENING One of the participants was enrolled in a part-time program at the new Day Centre garden. All summer long, he took care of watering the plants, removing the weeds and harvesting the bounty.
